CCA Abogados arrived in Flamingo three years ago after 12 years of experience with its office in San José.
Comprehensive legal and accounting services contribute to development in the area.
With more than 12 years of experience in San José, the firm CCA Abogados decided to bet on expansion and regional development by opening, three years ago, one of the first offices in Marina Flamingo, Guanacaste.
Since then, it has become a key player in strengthening the legal and accounting environment of one of the country’s most economically dynamic regions.
“Our goal was clear: to offer comprehensive services in a region that is constantly growing, but also faces unique challenges,” says Federico Jenkins, founding partner.
On this Guanacaste journey they have confirmed that both national and foreign clients need much more than legal advice: “they seek peace of mind, compliance, and clarity in their processes,” Jenkins added.
The firm provides comprehensive advice on real estate transactions, including the Costa Rican tax and accounting component; combined with knowledge and application of the U.S. system, this allows them to offer a bridge between both legal frameworks, crucial for foreign investors seeking to establish themselves in Costa Rica.
Mariamalia Guillén, also a founding partner, points out that one of CCA’s main priorities is to ensure that its clients are always in legal and tax compliance.
“At CCA we want our clients to sleep peacefully. They know they have a strategic ally who looks after their legal and financial security.”
Beyond the professional sphere, CCA Abogados has demonstrated a strong commitment to community development.
Connected to the Guanacaste region
The firm actively collaborates with the Flamingo Integral Development Association (ADI), providing advice to address local issues such as water scarcity, insecurity, and lack of infrastructure.
“The first thing we learned is that you have to support the community. As a professional, you have the ability and the obligation to help your neighbors. And the second is that there is a huge need to professionalize services, especially for foreigners who arrive with different expectations,” adds Jenkins.
CCA Abogados presents itself as a strategic ally in a region that continues to attract investment, tourism, and new residents. With a work ethic centered on honesty, professionalism, and foresight, the firm has established itself as a reliable partner in Costa Rica’s complex legal and accounting reality.
“We believe in work well done, in being available to answer questions, and in preventing problems before they arise. Honesty—not only financial, but also regarding time and processes—is fundamental in our philosophy,” concludes Guillén.
